  A word that tells us something more about a verb. 
 Adverb give us information  about 
1) Place = come here, come in, 
2) Time = a )  I saw a movie yesterday. 
        b) Now I need a pen. 
3) Manner or the way something  is done=
     a) Read aloud.  b)  Stand straight 
4) Degree  = the water is too  hot. 
5) Cause or reason = she was tried  and therefore  unable to study. 

   Adverbs  tell  us when, where , how  and why an action takes place. 

 A  number  of  them end in ( ly). 

 example = British and his companions plotted Secretly to  kill Caesar. 

Verb = plotted 

Adverb = secretly 

Tells us how they plotted. 

2) Manali danced gracefully 

                Verb + adverb. 

Here we see how Manali  danced, 

She danced gracefully. 

3) Shyam waited patiently  for his bus.

    example  = when, with, how, 

                  Interjection. 

I ~ 8) Interjection ~ followed by an exclamation mark (!)
